TENFOLD

TENFOLD

July 1 - August 7, 2010

The Artist Reception is 1st Thursday, July 1 from 6-8 pm Catherine Person Gallery is pleased to announce Tenfold featuring ten Northwest artists working in the mediums of painting, drawing, video, collage and sculpture. Four mid-career artists and six emerging artists are in the exhibition with small to medium sized works.

Mid-career artists are painters Linda Davidson and Squire Broel, collage artist Deborah Faye Lawrence and drawings by Pam Keeley.

Tenfold continues our commitment to exhibiting emerging artists whom we believe to have exceptional talent. Beginning their career with this show are three 2010 BFA graduates from Seattle's Cornish College of the Arts, sculptors Allyce Wood and Leah Messersmith and video artist E Dughi. Sculptor Justin Lytle graduated from Cornish in 2009 and is joining us for his second exhibition. Swedish-born sculptor Jimmy Stambrandt
moved to the U.S. to study art in 1996 and earned his BFA at the San Francisco Art Institute in 2000. In 2008, he earned his  MFA, degree from the School of Design and Crafts (HDK), University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He and his family now reside Seattle. Ceramic sculptor Julie Lindell is in her second exhibition here.

In August, we'll be open by appointment from August 10-14 and closed for summer break the last two weeks, returning September 2nd.
