description

Art in the park began as a gathering of students, craftspeople, and aspiring artists who came together in Occidental Mall to sell their works during Pioneer Square's First Thursday Art Walk. Today art in the park has grown into one of the premier venues in Seattle for jewelry makers, glass artists, and independent craftspeople from every discipline to display and sell their work. This is not your typical crafts fair!

In addition to the many art vendors, art in the park also features musicians and performance art.

ARTSPARKS 2010 seeks to infuse new creative energy in Pioneer Square this summer, creatively engaging the community, “sparking” public interest, and enlivening this historic district. The vision is to bring art in all its forms to Occidental Square Park (on the corner of Occidental Ave S & S Main Street), to create a public space where art and life entwine and art works as a vehicle for positive social change.

I will be there next to all my artist friends with loads of new paintings and some older pieces. You can visit my paintings at Shoreline City hall gallery or the US Bank at 1023 NE 63rd and then see me at the artwalk if not raining.

I will be there selling some glass I have blown--corset cups, flowers, and turtles.

I will be selling my glass along side my friend Suzanne Duket who will be selling hollow books and prints of her paintings.

Can't wait to see you all there!!!

I will be there -- weather and being able to keep my eyes open permitting -- with my digital artwork setting up near the fire fighter memorial.

Should be fun if it isn't rainy or windy.
